  • MV&HV Filter Bank

Open rack passive filter solution for reducing harmonics in medium and high-voltage networks Modern electrical equipment imposes stringent demands on voltage stability and power quality. The power network can tolerate only a limited level of harmonics and other electrical disturbances. By installing passive harmonic filters in medium/high-voltage networks, several benefits can be obtained: Higher power factor, improved voltage stability and lower network losses  Filtering of harmonics in the system to acceptable levels Lowering of resonance problems and amplification of electrical disturbances A “clean” network creates much less strain on equipment and lengthens its life span. This results in a lower maintenance cost and the cost for replacing worn-out equipment. Splend Electrical passive harmonic filters are the ideal solution to render medium/high-voltage networks more efficient and trouble-free.

  • HV Shunt Capacitor Bank

Shunt capacitor banks are primarily used to improve the power factor in the network. They also improve the voltage stability and reduce network losses. Improving the power factor also means a higher power transmission capability and increased control of the power flow. Splend Electrical’s open rack capacitor bank SDrHM Banks is available with internally fused, externally fused or fuseless capacitor units. The major advantage of SDrHM Banks is the compact design, small footprint and easy maintenance.

  • MV&HV Static Var Generator

The principle of the HV SVG is very similar to that of Active Power Filter, as demonstrated in the picture below. When the load is generating inductive or capacitive current, it makes load current lagging or leading the voltage. SVG detects the phase angle difference and generates leading or lagging current into the grid, making the phase angle of current almost the same as that of voltage on the transformer side, which means fundamental power factor is unit. Splend Electric series HV SVG is also capable of correcting load imbalance.

  • MV Metal Encloser of APFC

SDrHM Reactive power compensation system with modular fixed or multistage switched capacitor steps that can compensate to a preset power factor The SDrHM family of metal enclosed capacitor banks (APFC) are a packaged factory assembled and tested reactive compensation system with modular fixed or switched capacitor steps, which automatically compensate an individual load or of the network to maintain a preset level of power factor (cos phi). TheSDrHM family comprises series of metal enclosed capacitor banks that cater to a wide range of applications and requirement for reactive power compensation and harmonic filtering in medium voltage networks. The SDrHM family is a 'one stop shop' solution with an integrated package of Splend Electrical's premium range of primary and secondary equipment. The solution combines primary components, and secondary control and protection, within a compact modular enclosure.

  • MV Fix Capacitor Banks

The fix banks are mainly adopted for the compensation of steady loads or for fixed portions of the plant required reactive power. Typical example of the first case is compensation of large MV motors, which are used for large pumping stations, cement or chemical plants. In this case the bank is placed close to the motor and it is wired downstream its main Circuit Breaker, so it is switched on and off along with its motor. In the second case the capacitor bank is directly connect to the distribution system bus bars. Splend’s proposes metal enclosed capacitors banks in many different versions (fixed or automatic, with damping, blocking and absorption reactors).
